Family mediation: make the right decisions for your family
Family mediation can help you to make the right decisions for your family when a relationship breakdown occurs.
Julie Farrer Mediation provides a comprehensive family mediation service dealing with children, finances and property. A supportive, safe and constructive environment in which to manage your separation and consider your future.
The first step is a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM) to provide information and help you to consider mediation as an alternative to court proceedings.

Manage your separation
Whether you are in the process of separating from your partner, or have already separated, family mediation helps you to make decisions about your own and your children’s futures, taking account of all your needs, concerns and interests.
Couples can take part in mediation whether they are married or co-habiting. Children can be included in mediation, to take their wishes and feelings into account. Grandparents can take part in mediation too, and other wider family members who have issues that need to be resolved.
Perhaps you have an existing arrangement with a former partner that has broken down, and you want to get back on track. The family mediation process can reduce tension and hostility and improve communication, helping to make the process of separation less stressful and improving the possibility of long-term co-operation where there are children involved.
Family mediation focuses on the interests of children, recognising your role as parents even though you are no longer together.
